Registered Psychotherapist (CRPO)

My path to becoming a psychotherapist was not a straight line, but it led me to work I deeply value.

I began my career in medicine, completing medical training and working as a physician before moving to Canada. While I initially pursued family medicine residency here, I eventually discovered psychotherapy and realized it was where my strengths and interests truly aligned.

Today, I work with adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, trauma, chronic pain, burnout, and life transitions. My approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, and grounded in evidence-based therapies.

What I find most meaningful about this work is seeing clients reconnect with themselves, whether that means finding relief from long-standing symptoms or experiencing the confidence that comes from achieving something that once felt impossible.

It is truly an honour to be part of that process.

Areas of Focus

You feel “lazy” when you did not feel this way before - chronic feelings of overwhelmingness - stuck in patterns of stress and self-pressure - emotionally overwhelmingness

feeling stuck - feeling out of body sensation - intrusive thoughts - nightmares - flashbacks of memory

when experiencing in the workplace:

repeated criticism, exclusion, hostile communication, unreasonable demands, intimidation, etc

Racing thoughts - heart beating fast - difficulty breathing - chronic indecisiveness - restlessness - specific avoidance

Support for those navigating chronic pain and chronic concerns

Therapy for periods of change, loss, uncertainty and emotional or relational strain

No longer enjoying thoughts once used to - self-isolating - not eating or drinking or overeating or overdrinking - not sleeping or oversleeping - irritability

Support for those navigating post-concussion symptoms after a traumatic brain injury

Chronic feelings of self-doubt, self-criticism, toxic shame, self-abandonment, people-pleasing

MY APPROACH TO THERAPY

Therapy is not one-size-fits-all. I draw from several evidence-based approaches and tailor treatment to each client’s needs, goals, and pace.

My work integrates:

  • psychodynamic and relational therapy

  • narrative therapy

  • trauma-informed care

  • EMDR and cognitive processing therapy

  • strength-based and collaborative approaches

My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, understood, and supported as we work toward meaningful and lasting change.
